Optimally sized

The t.bone Micscreen LE is equipped with a special acoustic foam on the side that faces the microphone, which suppresses reflected sound and ambient noise and keeps the microphone capture as clean as possible; this material is an impressive 55mm thick, and the semi-circular structure measures 46cm in diameter and 30cm high, providing a generous field of protective coverage for the microphone. The rear side of the t.bone Micscreen LE in turn is made from simple perforated sheet metal that is mounted to the frame using screw joints, which keeps the approximate total weight of the mic screen to a modest 2.4kg.

No unnecessary fuss

Setting up and dismantling the t.bone Micscreen LE could not be easier: The two mounting brackets included in the package are affixed to the rear of the screen using the three knurled screws, and the threaded adapter for the microphone and mic stand is then attached to the metal rail that faces towards the user. The adapters are equipped with a 5/8" thread, while an adapter for microphone stands with a 3/8" thread is also included. The user can adjust the height and distance of the microphone in relation to the screen using the three mounting screws, allowing microphones of different sizes and designs to be used without difficulty.

Geht so (Mechanisch).... sonst viel 'value for money'

Nachtrag zur unteren Bewertung (5-06-2012):
Einige Aufnahmen gemacht und da habe ich nicht schlecht gestaunt!!! Die Stimme hört sich sauber an (Aufnahmen mit U87 in kombi m Cubase6/RME Babyface) und Nebengeräusche konnte ich nicht entdecken (obwohl Busse und Autos an meine Wohnung vorbei fahren). So tot wie in einer Schalldichten Kabine klingt es natürlich nicht aber wenn man sich mit seinen Räumlichkeiten auskennt, kann man natürlich vorbeugen. Daher würde ich sagen 3,5 bis 4 Sterne. Vielen Dank nochmal an Thomann für Support!

Aus praktischen und finanziellen Gründe (volldämmung bei mir vorerst nicht möglich) auf Empfehlung dieses Schirmchen gekauft. Optisch alles ok, die Montage erweist sich als etwas(!) fummelig und umständlich: Verlauf hier, Adaptor da, mal schnell zum Baumarkt usw. damit es einigermaßen passt.

Klar, es ist kein superprofi-Teil aber hätte ich es vorher gewusst, hätte ich mir die € 20,= teuerer Ausführung zugelegt, die sieht auf dem Video praktischer aus.

Günstig und reduziert den Raumklang ein wenig

Also kurz gesagt macht der Micscreen LE was er soll. Er ersetzt zwar keine Gesangskabiene aber gerade für die mobilen Aufnahmen ist er durch seine Kompaktheit eine gute Erweiterung.

Warum es Abzüge in der Verarbeitung und Bedienung gab ist die Tatsache das man ihn ohne weitere Unterlegscheiben und ein paar Muttern nicht auf einem Handelsüblichen Mikrofonständer montieren kann. Aufgrund seines Gewichtes wird das dann aber auch eine sehr instabile Konstruktion. Also ein stabilen Ständer direkt mitbestellen!

Klanglich macht er das Signal ein wenig trockener. Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Kauf zufrieden und bei dem Preis sieht man auch gerne über ein paar fehlende Unterlegscheiben hinweg. Aber ein Hinweis wie man den richtig befestigen soll auf einem Stativ wäre klasse!

Die Idee einer portablen 'Gesangskabine' bzw einfach überall hallfreie Gesangsaufnahmen zu produzieren ist äußerst praktisch und funktioniert in der Praxis erstaunlich gut, trockene klare Aufnahmen. Man sollte sich jedoch einen robusten Mikrofonständer besorgen da das Ding ziemlich schwer ist, und die Fixierung bei der LE Version nur relativ schlecht funktioniert. Es lehnt sich aufgrund der Gewinde immer seitlich, das ist bei der größeren Version eindeutig besser gelöst.

Der Preis ist heiß

... aber dafür muss man schon etwas Hand anlegen. Das Produkt selbst macht einen ordentlichen Eindruck und das Ergebnis stimmt jedenfalls: Resonanzfreier Gesang, absolut sauber und nebengeräuschfrei.
Bei der Montage muss man etwas Kreativität zeigen. Mein Blue Baby Bottle hat einen direkt nach unten gehenden Anschluss - und da ist nun mal die Befestigungsschiene im Weg, wenn man das Mic weit genug in den Schirm platzieren will. Also wird die Schiene kurzerhand abgesägt.

Jo, dann passt alles. Preiswert, praktisch, gut.
