Update 06.05.16: I still think the mic sounds good! BUT...........a big problem......... ! One year ago exactly after I?d owned it for a year, I started getting terrible hiss! I ended up using another mic for the recording! I hadn?t thought about it again until I went to use it last week! The same thing happened!! When I changed the patterns it sounded like thunder!?? After I?d pulled the mic plug out and replaced it back in the power box a few times everything worked well again! I will be contacting Thomann about this!
I just want to say that this has nothing to do with the fantastic service from Thomann when ordering!
Update 06.05.16: I called Thomann and they immediately offered to replace it! I will return the defect mic on Monday!

Seriously awesome mic...
I've read some people say the tube that comes with the mic sucks. I don't think so. It's pretty high gain - so you need to stage your gain correctly on your audio interface. But the clarity overall is fantastic.
Reports of "floor noise" are kinda funny to me - I prefer high gain mics, and this one has picked up my neighbours two floors up doing the naughty deed. That caught me by surprise when I went back to hear an audio recording for a product review before removing out any background noise and setting a noise gate.
Build quality - people reported the shock mount was "sharp" and they needed leather gloves for it. Definitely not the case.
Some people have said it feels cheaply made. Again, not the case. This is a well made and very durable microphone.
Overall, I love this thing and it will be my primary mic and is replacing my blue.

Unbelievable sound, not just value for money
I have bought that mic after a review I have read on a very reputable magazine. I was looking for a low cost tube mic.
I have been using it a lot since I bought it, it became my go to mic. You can't go wrong with it with vocals, acoustic guitars. I have used it with great success on strings and woodwinds. I mostly use it at the same time with ribbon mic, but that's a matter of preference. It's always the "main" mic in multimic situations.
It has a very nice case, and the spider provided will do it's job very nicely. Many people claim that if you replace the tube with an expensive one it's even better. I may do that in the future, but the mic is wonderful as is.
All in all, you can make your music sound much more "expensive" with so little money. You will not take much more from a mic even if you spend five times the money on a more expensive one. It's not just good for the money, it's great.

Great mic
Using this mic in the studio for basically anything. The sound is crisp and clear. Great tube tone. The top end is very nice.
You can make great use of the different polar patterns as well as fine tune with the in-between positions.
Build quality is very nice, heavy and sturdy. With proper care and professional usage I think this mic can last for a long time.

Great product
Sound is good and crisp. With sovtek tube it sounds really good. The only thing thats not so good is the shock mount. It has sharp edges where you cant cut yourself. But in overall it's all worth the price

Sweet tube Mic!
Wanted another T-Bone tube mic..and i'm glad I got this mic. I find the SCT2000 has a sweetness to it especially when it comes to recording acoustic guitars. Its probably because of the higher high frequency response. It is also very usable for vocals. Both SCT 800 and the SCT 2000 have different characteristics. Hoping to have years of joy working with this mic :)

A workhorse mic!
I own this microphone 10 years now and it still sounds amazing! It's warm, sweet and very versatile thanks to the 9-way polar pattern toggle switch on it's external power supply.
I've use it for vocals, guitars and drumkit's space recordings. Also, despite the fact that it has felt accidentaly on the floor a couple of times, no damage occured at all. It's all so compact, both the microphone itself and also the case it comes with. Absolutely value for money product beyond every expectation.
The t.bone should be proud!

the t.bone SCT 2000 microphone
I ordered this microphone from Thomann for a recording project. It arrived promptly and I was excited to get on with the project. However the shock mount which came with the microphone did not fit the microphone which meant that I was unable to use the microphone.
Thomann have replaced the microphone and everything is now in order. I am delighted with the performance of the t.bone 2000. It is equally impressive when recording vocals and acoustic instruments. I particular I am impressed with its performance when recording several vocals and instruments at the same time in a "live" situation in its omnidirectional function. Great quality and great value.

One of the best studio microphone you can get at this price.
I bought it 2 years ago an I am still using it wuth a Tascam voice processor. Sounds great!

budget mic. with quality sound
The t.bone SCT microphone is my mic. of choice when recording vocals or acoustic guitar in my home Apple/Logic 9 studio. You hear every nuance of the vocal with full range clarity and great tonal quality of acoustic guitar. Yes, you can spend 10 times what this mic. costs but for home studio recording it's perfect. The quality of my recordings has soared since swapping an SM58 for this product.
