Great for dynamic mics on drums
I have no idea what this mount was created for (perhaps an SDC) but I've found it incredibly useful for pointing a dynamic mic at a tom or snare. Holds typical (SM58 shape) mics very securely, and the shockmount means you can mount the mic on cymbal stand and/or be a little less worried about a drummer hitting the holder during recording.

Shock Mount from t.bone?
I was looking for a decent shock mount for Neumann KM184. The quality is really good and the mic sit perfectly in it. Surprisingly high quality... so I bought 5 more! All are mechanically perfect. I gave one star less for one single reason: the elastic band is too strong and I would have preferred a softer one. I did not test on the field, but it definitely would absorb rumbles better with a softer one. You may change it easily. By the way: you can squeeze in a Royer-121 and it is ok, but not ideal. Oktava MKs? NO, not the right diameter, unless you put extra foam in it. Good work.

Okay but takes a lot of squeezing
In order to work with a wide variety of sizes of mics, this little clamp needs a hefty spring and that's what it has got.
However it's design and the little bit of foam rubber inside the metal part makes it also useful for holding dynamic mics too.
When stuck for a bass drum mic recently I put a 57 Into this clamp no problem, despite it being not of uniform diameter.
Next time I order I'll stick a couple of these on to take to any studio I visit - because this could be a life saver in those situations where the clip you need has disappeared.
As I stated in another review of a similar clamp - this clamp was much improved with a little lubrication on all the moving parts and allowed the joint to be tighten tighter and with less resistance.

Very Sturdy but ..
It was mentioned that it can fit a 26 mm Diameter Mic, but it didn't. I had to fit the Samson Q2U with much difficulty, which was a pain. But it's very high quality and sturdy.

Cool Shock Mount
So I got this, so I can mount it on a K&M 259 Black microphone stand.
I use it to mount on it a Se electronics Se8 mic, and I have it as a snare mic stand. It looks cool in front of my snare, and it fits perfectly in between my drum set without causing any problems or getting on my way while playing.
It doesn't feel very solid, and it feels a bit cheap, but it does its job, and it's easy to mount and unmount the mic without having any problems.
Although the quality is definitely not the same as other shock mounts out there, it looks like it will last.

Does the job
I wanted something a bit cheaper for my new Rode NT5's and bought these with a stereo bar, they're not the best in the world but they do the job well enough and good for the price! I'd recommend them to a mate.

It works
Well, it's a decent shockmount that fits my oktava mk-012 mics perfectly. The elastics seem a little tight but it works pretty well to eliminate vibrations picked up through the stand. It's certainly better than the crude mic clip supplied with the mk-012s!

Solid Shock Mount, but resonates
I bought this shock mount to hold a stereo microphone on the end of a boom pole. It works very well, however I find that sometimes the elastics resonate at certain frequencies. Some of the screws also loosen with regular use, however this may be because I use it with a boom pole. Solid product otherwise.

Shock Mount
I use it for Rode NTG-3. I had to modified it, because my shotgun diameter is smaller. I recommend use it for heavier mics as shotguns, because rubbers are quite tough.
