the t.bone USB 1G

As an audio engineer I don't those solutions often but I found my self in need of a cheap guitar interface for playing on my HTPC in my living room. This is a good cable that I use on the fly when bored on the couch
Use: used for low level amp emulation/ recording.
I don't recommend using this cable for professional audio recording / production but it still does the job just fine for practice and scratch recording.

All I needed was to get a guitar signal to my laptop. This works great with the t.bone USB 1G. Just plug it in and you are ready to record. The signal quality is not that bad but gets worse when using distorted amp sounds.

This cable is a great simple way to get the sound from your guitar or bass into your computer. Feels to be of good quality, low noise, and it a practical length. Would be handy to have an output of some kind as well, as in some situations it might not be practical to have to use an aggregate audio device on the Mac (or whatever the PC equivalent of that is). I was using it as a quick way of testing bass guitar effects patches and this worked great and it was much easier than unnecessarily carrying a full-sized interface around with the project.

i bought this as i wasnt willing to spend 100 quid on a proper interface and was very pleasently surprised by the quality. only drawback is the buzzing sound but for such a cheap cable i cant complain, using a noise gate on bias fx completely cancelled it out, however it is something to be wary of if u intend to use this to record

There's a slight white noise signal given off by this cable, and it has a few latency issues, but for the price this works great!
I use it to lay down direct bass guitar to a preamp on my laptop! It sounds great.

I use this USB interface for home recording and practising Digital via Guitar Rig 5.
I had to install a driver for my PC soundcard to play with this cable via Guitar 5.
Quality is good and it works well!
