The sound of the instrument is rather bright, but overall, it's a nice sound. The response of the instrument is great, however the intonation isn't the best, particularly for third space C. It would have been nice if the main tuning slide was a bit longer because I need to set the tuning slide in its furthest position to play in tune, which leaves it in a rather loose position.
