Thomann Artist Irish Bouzouki WLN

This bouzouki punches above its price point. It's powerful and resonant. The finish is pleasant and minimal, and the rosette is attractive (though the minor imperfections from the laser-cutting process are visible up close). The zero fret is a nice touch, since it means nut slot depth isn't an issue for setup. The action was quite high for my liking when it arrived, so if you're not comfortable with setup work, you might budget for a professional setup. I ended up adjusting truss rod and sanding the bridge feet to get it comfortably playable. Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase. It sounds great for Irish folk music and also for bluegrass!
