Perfect for beginners!

the FSU, 01.11.2009
I bought this instrument in addition to my own (very good) violin to have a second, not very valuable violin that I can take anywhere with and do not have to be afraid all the time that it is broken. And I must say that my expectations were far exceeded!

Here is a detailed description of the individual components:

+ The processing of the violin is very good, also it leaves no wishes open for the price. I have played in other music shops violins for about 200-300 EUR to the sample, and these were sound far worse!

+ The bow is fine, of course not a masterpiece, but it is enough for beginners and normal playing.
The rosin is of course not very high quality, but also fulfills its purpose.

+ The string distance to the fingerboard is not too big, so it can be played even in higher positions without problems.

+ Chin holders and tailpieces are very well processed and fulfill their purpose, the chin can be placed comfortably.

+ The swirls and fine-tuners are light, precise and also cleanly processed.

In the case of the support, the one side has broken out after a while, because the holder is made of plastic only and it has not withstood the pressure of sliding it onto the body. (Therefore, the one missing star in the processing) This may, however, also have been a one-time material error, but a little caution when handling the prop can not hurt. Do not push too far ...

All in all, I can only recommend this instrument. If you do not want to play concerts absolutely nothing is against the purchase,
Price-performance ratio (in my opinion / search / experience) nothing better to find!

It should be mentioned that I have been playing the violin for 17 years and that this violin is really up to all (non-professional) situations.
I hope I could help.

No violin for "professionals", but good for getting to know

Christian aus M., 10.10.2009
To judge this violin fairly is quite difficult. On the one hand, the sound is quite average, on the other hand, it costs only a fraction of the other violins, where you can not always be sure how good they sound.

The violin is neatly processed, the swirls do not slip. Unfortunately, the delivery was not on the bridge, but with a few tips or prior knowledge this is easy to judge. A big drawback is the bow, which was obviously saved. Here one should quickly add a vein, as the sound can be drastically improved. A cheap carbon bow spends wonders, but other strings can help the instrument much.

As I said, the criticism is in fact unfair, as you can not expect an excellent bow if a good bow alone would cost a multiple of this set. One must therefore be aware of who this instrument is intended for. In my case it served the re-entry for years without violin, but the instrument is in my opinion very suitable. With an orchestra, even if it were a lay orchestra, one would probably come across a little surprise. In the long term for practicing, there are also a few disadvantages to be accepted, as you can at some point arrive at a point where it is frustrating that the sound can not be improved and thus one's doubts about its own ability to play.

To get to know or re-enter the game is enough, however, it can be a more expensive and especially better instrument. If you have already acquired a good bow before, you can continue to use it.
