It's pretty bulky, considering the fact that none of the external pouches and the padded backside (which contains the very heavy backpack-style straps, useless to me) are not removable.
The absence of a top handle is a major omission to me too, as it is to other customers.
The included strap (for side carrying) is heavy and again, super bulky.
On the inside, i had to cut away the little fabric that keeps the case to completely open (up to 90 degrees tops) since it can't stay open like that without tumbling on its back due to the pockets' weight, unless the saxophone is inside. Now it clam-opens completely (180 degrees), better!
It fitted a Keilwerth SX90 (which has a very different mechanic design and keys compared to a Selmer Mark VI, SA80 etc.), removed straight neck, mouthpiece, reeds, grease, MPC guards and at least there, no problems, enough room for everything, good padding, saxophone locked and stable.
So yes, there are quite a few things that are useless (to me at least) and mostly heat glued to each other, not stitched.
If you don't care about any of the above and price is your main concern, then i guess this one of the best options for you.
Cheers, Sam.
