Only part of the solution
The build quality is ok-ish, it looks nice and the platform can help you eliminate impact vibrations BUT - not on it’s own at all. Actually the foam rings underneath are so stiff that it even amplified vibrations when placed on a Roland carpet. Perhaps replacing these with sylomer ones it could do the trick but I have not tested this as I was sceptical.
How I used the platform is - I’ve placed it on top of 2.5 cm thick regular foam flooring and added the Roland Noise eater footboards underneath the pedals. Without them the impact noise is still fairly significant (They actually do a 5x better job on their own that the platform itself.) The platform is fairly heavy and solid and will stabilize the drumset when placed on such a foam surface. Only with the combination of all three of these products I was able to reduce the impact vibrations enough for my next door neighbour to not be able to sense them anymore through the wall. Hope this helps someone as I’ve gone mad trying to find a solution for months!
