Very nice. Good enough for me. But could be improved.
Ivke 17.10.2021
I am an intermediate guitarist, playing mostly for fan, at home.

I have bought this guitar case to keep my new HB-35 in.

Good:
The order arrived reasonably quickly and in good condition.

The case is really pretty, with stitching detail and soft lining that makes it look a little more luxurious than some other cases.

It is good enough for what I need.
Mostly to protect my guitar at home and for short rides by car.

Fitting:
My Harley Benton HB-35 guitar (i.e. semi hollow, 335 look-alike) fits nicely inside the case. (Maybe it could be fitted a little more snuggly but it is ok. Perhaps some additional cushions could be provided with the case).

Verdsatility:
I also tried it for my Squier Tele, and it fits in too. But it fits more loosely because of the thinner body. Because of that a Strat or Tele would probably need more cushioning.
I understand that the case was not intended for a Tele, but in case of need it can be used.

Undecided:
I am not sure if the case would take a lot of wear and bumps and whether the buckles are strong enough for rougher handling, like airplane travel.

Could be better:
Is it possible that handle is not well centred on my guitar case?
When I carry the box on one side, the box hangs in such a way that it leans towards my leg and the bottom edge of the case tends to rub against the leg.
Admittedly, this could be due to the weight of the guitar and how it sits inside the box, Perhaps some adjustability of guitar's position could help.

Conclusion:
Overall I like this case, I am happy with it and will keep it.
But I will look to make some foam inserts to provide a little more cushioning for my guitars.

Lots of potential, could use a bit of work.
Arno van Remoortel 03.09.2022
I got this to go along with the Harley Benton HB-35. The case definitely has the right groundwork, although on a few (easy fixable) things it could use a bit of work.

Pros:
-Price. It feels sturdy enough, like it can handle quite some abuse.
-Locks. Two of the hinges have a lock in them, this puts my mind at ease because I'm terrified of the case swinging open and my guitar flying out.
-Keys. It comes with two keys for the aforementioned locks, the keys look like tiny guitars. I love this.

Cons:
-Weight. The case is a bit on the heavier side, although not too bad.
-Fit and padding. This is my only real issue with it, the HB-35 is quite loose inside the case and while there is a slight amount of padding, there is none whatsoever in the headstock region.

Conclusion: I got some foam padding and padded around certain areas of the case, now the HB-35 fits splendidly. Added some extra padding around the headstock area. It's hard to justify spending more on a case now, with the added foam, it's unbeatable in its price point.

One small and one larger issue
Vicpnut 31.03.2023
At first this case was well worth its price, the typical getting more for your buck HB quality was my thinking. At first the only “negative “ was lack of padding inside .it’s on the thin side and allows the guitar to float around inside the case. Which isnt a big deal ,I’ve had similar issues with other cases costing much more than this case. An extra microfiber towel folded and positioned correctly solves that “small “issue. The “larger” issue took a lil more work. I dont carry this case around a lot . It’s for storing my hollow body when I won’t be using it for awhile .so I pick it up a couple of time every month or so or longer, and half(+/-)of those “picking it ups” are with an empty case. So I was shocked when the handle rivets started failing. At first I re riveted but that didn’t hold long at all.you’d need to drill out handle openings to use larger rivets to have any chance at the handle staying attached. But that would greatly weaken the handle around the rivet holes …so I drilled through case ( just to hone out rivet holes ) and used bolts and spring clip type nuts …it’s not overly difficult but not simple either ,to get behind padding and make sure bolts don’t poke through padding ,reattach etc etc ….otherwise I have no complaints and now it’s basically as good as any other case I have …and I know the handle isn’t gonna fall off for sure. I think HB should use some sort of nut and bolt instead of Rivets for the handle on larger cases at least ( heavier Guitars.etc)

f
Reasonable deal
fhole 05.02.2018
Been using a gig bag for many years for a 35+ year old Gibson ES335 I've had for over 25 years. I played it, learned to play on it, gigged it. I kinda retired it a few years ago, it might not take another refret, but still play it from time to time. It seems it may be worth something now, $$$, I decided I ought to maybe take a bit better care of it, so I bought this hard case.
It is not a perfect fit, a little too long, wide, and deep for a 1980, 335 body. It is not a Gibson case, so I didn't expect it to be perfect. I put a little sponge at the bottom and it seems fine, doesn't move a lot, you could always add a little more if you think it needs.
I have used it mostly for storage, so it hasn't had to deal with much abuse, but I think it would be better than a gig bag!
I am satisfied with my purchase, in my opinion, it's a very reasonable deal.

Sound, but poor finish
rims 23.05.2017
Bought with an Epiphone Riviera. It fits and seems solid (you never really know until the time you need its protection!). Soft black lining, and a gadjet compartment.

The clasps seem ok, if not brilliant.

The finish though was disappointing - little nicks here and there, the vinyl poorly glued and lifting in places, and a ripple in one place.

It was part of a birthday gift, and arrived only just in time. A panicked hour disguising the nicks with a felt tip, and re-glueing the vinyl. It looks ok now, but poor inspection/quality control.

Thomann, to their credit, provided appropriate compensation.

Average case

Average hardcase. The quality of the material on the outside is not very good. It could quickly damaged if not taken care of.

Great case
L3rxst 30.10.2021
Heavy, well made, needs padding to suit your guitar. I bought this for the HB-35+
Needs extra pads to stop the guitar moving around inside, but still good quality and not appointed. I used foam pads covered in black velvet. Cost me £15 at my local sewing shop. Now perfect.

Robust and Reliable
Anonymous 09.05.2016
I bought this a couple of years back for my Epiphone Dot and I have been pleasantly surprised by this product.

The case is sturdy, even though it is relatively light compared to similar size hard cases, so it will not tire you when moving around with the guitar. The finish is ok I guess, not a big fan of the imitation leather texture, but is easy to clean, has no trouble getting wet (not soaked!) and even though I thought the glue would soon give way with the heat (I live in very hot climate), the exterior is pretty much identical to the way it was when I first bought it.

The clasps are sturdy and hold the case tightly shut, you are given two keys with which to lock one clasp with, which, I would assume could be handy, even though I have never used it.

Inside is covered with dark blue furry material which is nice and soft to the touch, so it will not hurt the guitar's finish and even though I was a bit cautious at first the colour does not run on the material, even if the guitar is slightly wet with sweat from long hours of playing.

Inside there is a compartment with plenty of room for tuners, capos, pick cables and strings.

All in all a great value for money product, not really pretty to look at compared to other cases but defiantly is safe, sturdy and fits the Epi like a glove

Very good case, locking is not so good
Andre_tf 12.08.2020
The case is very good, with a nice quality and accessible price. It comes with some guitar format keys, which you can use to lock the case.
Only problem is that you can open it with any thin object, For those who doesn't have a need to lock the case, it's a very good one.
