R
A good Choice on The Budget

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this desk. For the price, you get a good-looking workstation with a lovely laminated finish and loads of space for a home studio setup. Whether you're running MIDI controllers, large screens, studio monitors or a small mastering setup, there's plenty of room to work with.

Build quality – 3/5

This is where I have a few reservations. The desk looks really sturdy, but the MDF construction is quite fragile. You need to be careful when putting it together, as overtightening the screws can cause the material to crumble, leaving the screws with very little grip. Unfortunately, I managed to damage a few parts during assembly. I'll take some of the blame myself, but the material is definitely softer than I'd like, and I think the overall build quality could be improved.

Features – 4/5

There's not a huge amount to say here, but the desk gives you plenty of space, and the additional rack section and raised top shelf could be useful depending on your setup.

Personally, I had to leave the top shelf off. With my screens and studio monitors, it simply sits too high. Even with my chair at its highest setting, I'd have to look upwards at my screens, which isn't comfortable for long sessions. That's not necessarily a problem with the desk itself, as it will depend on your equipment, but it's something worth considering before buying or before committing to assembly.

I also don't use the built-in rack space, as I have all my outboard gear mounted in a separate rack. Instead, I use that space for my MIDI controllers and other bits of equipment. There's a surprising amount of room, which is a big plus.

Assembly

The instructions are decent, and all the parts are clearly labelled. I'd say it's probably a two-person job, but I managed to assemble the whole thing myself without too much trouble. It just took a little longer. It's fairly straightforward, provided you take your time and don't go mad tightening the screws!

Overall – 4/5

For the money, I think this is a pretty decent desk. It looks good, has a nice finish and gives you loads of space for your gear. The biggest downside is the quality of the MDF, which feels a little too fragile during assembly.

Realistically, It's a good option for a home studio, provided you're careful when putting it together and make sure the layout suits your equipment.

U
Great Desk for small studio or home environment.
UKFrank 06.10.2026
This desk is perfect for my needs. I ordered it from the UK and the transaction was painless and straight forward.

The desk tops are made of a plastic type laminated MDF which after assembly is sturdy. The tops have a wood grain texture which fooled two people after placing their hands on it, they thought it was real wood.
The assembly was really easy and mostly can be installed by one person but it makes sense to have some help for lifting the rack section so to align the holes easily. Regarding assembling the upper shelf with the metal 19" rack section, make sure that you don't tighten the bolts from under the main top until the frame and monitor top is in place, this is because the tolerances although great, was tight. Once in place, fully tighten the sides from the main top to the monitor section, but seriously, every hole aligned perfectly. The instructions are very easy to follow.

The main desk base has a lovely chamfer at the front edge, that pleasing to its look and more so it is great to rest your wrist on it when using a laptop.
For its size, the desk has ample room for everything I need, the nine 19" bays housing is PERFECT for my devices and needs, it all look really neat ad professional. The feet screw in the Z metal frame and can be adjusted to uneven floors, they have a thick rubber so it won't scratch your floor.

Apart from there plastic items (part 19) that for some reason were not in the box. everything else was accounted for, no problem, a quick email to Thomann and soon I received them in the post.

I am really impressed on cost, quality design and sturdiness of this Studio Desk, so I am recommending it to everyone that need a compact work station.

Thank you Thomann, I will be buying more products from you. in the future.
