I ordered a large Himalayan singing bowl from Thomann as I live far away from anywhere and they had a sound byte online, and this bowl’s resonance really appealed to me. It is a large bowl G (96hz) with a long deep resonance that I really enjoy for helping me to ground as I follow the sound.
The sound is full bodied yet lighter and somehow freeing, as if inviting the soul to dance and follow along. I feel happy hearing this sound and comforted and safe following this bowl sound down deep into my grounding, yet travelling lightly through the experience.
I have been using this bowl which despite its size is light enough and people have found it incredibly powerful with on the body treatments. Most of them have gone into deep meditation/sleep state as soon as this bowl is rimmed on the body and have found it a very comforting and enveloping space that is super enjoyable.
In order to achieve the deepest sound possible from this bowl, which does have high tones embedded in the sound, I actually strike using my smaller gong mallet rather than the bowl mallet. This is very effective.
But on purchasing, I would have liked it if Thomann could give an indication of the note of the bowls they offer as this would help provide a guide for use as therapy bowls. I was actually hoping for a deep C bowl, but I am nevertheless very happy with my G(2) bowl.

Thomann Tibetan Zen Singing Bowl 2300g
Nice bowl, needs a bigger (softer) mallet for the real potential.
The one i got could be better fabricated though (finishing touch) and thanks to the great service from Thomann able to send the bowl return. the sound is good for this price.

Amazing sustain and rubs really well
I can't believe how long the sustain is on this bowl and how easy it is to get singing when you rub it. Highly recommended.
