Thomann TR-620 L

Stefan M. 859, 28.04.2012
It is actually a good trumpet, but it is now no longer usable, since the running ability of the trumpet drastically deteriorated after just 8 months, so that the valves are still very strong after repeated oiling and cleaning, here would be an investment by Thomann The running ability of the trumpet (eg by a valve control) is desirable, even if it raises the price! The trumpet is also very playable with the supplied 6C mouthpiece, but it sounds much better with other mouthpieces and does not have to hide from a Getzen 900 ETERNA or a comparable Yamahatrompete. Externally, the trumpet is very beautiful, but the trumpet stuck in the stand since the sound is too tight.

Conclusion: Nice Einsteiger trumpet with slight quirks but can be remedied. Buying recommendation!

Absolutely OK

Horst D., 04.08.2010
Since I wanted no used instrument, I decided for the TR 620.
Very well I like the accompanying instrument case with its two backpacks.
Let's start with the processing, which leaves nothing to be desired and the trumpet appears full. The blast test with different mouthpieces ended with astonishment in the favor of the trumpet. Of course you can also play the supplied mouthpiece well, but every trumpeter has its own inclination.

All the sounds speak well and intonieren clean. The sound is synonymous, it can be used for different styles. The sound can be well designed by the player. Whether loud, quiet matt or radiant, this trumpet dominates the whole repertory.

Now to the small criticisms. The sound cup seems to be somewhat narrower than the normal standard, since my dampers do not hold so optimally in the trumpet. The easy play of the trains can be balanced with pull fat.

If the valves are pulled completely from the bushes, one should be careful when assembling. They also lock in the wrong way. You notice it at the latest when playing, since no sound is heard. In this case, re-install the valves with an additional half turn.

In a direct comparison with a Yamaha 4335. The TR-620 can be slightly lighter in the 1st octave, the sounds do not snap as well as the Japanese. In the sound, the Yamaha is slightly louder and more brilliant TR-620 can not be installed, you can start with a few drops of oil immediately.

For this purchase price you can not really ask for more trumpet. A perfect hit.
