Für unser Blasorchester (50 Mitglieder) ist das Tam-Tam ein klangliches Highlight. Im p bis mf ein dunkler warmer Gong, bei Erhöhung der Lautstärke kommen tolle Obertöne dazu, die auch bei kräftigem Schlag nicht "kreischen". Sehr wichtig ist der extra dazubestellte "Playwood Tam Tam Mallet G-RM", der deutlich schwerer als der mitgelieferte Mallet ist und ein spontanes Anspringen des Tones ermöglicht. Ein Stern muß ich wegen der teils scharfen Kanten abziehen, die werde ich selber abrunden. Zusammen mit dem schweren Ständer "Meinl Gong/TamTam Stand" ein Blickfang auf jeder Bühne.
