Dieser Cello-Saitensatz von Thomastik hält, was er verspricht. Thomastik gibt ja auf der Rückseite der Verpackung (als 2. Bild bereits auf der Produktseite im Shop sichtbar) die Klangeigenschaften der Saiten an. Das stimmt genau. Besonders angenehm überrascht hat mich die leichte Saitenansprache auf den beiden tiefen Saiten sowie die Kombination aus einem warmen und gleichzeitig brillianten Ton. Mit 198,- € ist dieser Saitensatz nicht nur günstig, sondern sogar besser als manche teurere Alternvative.

Natürlich gibt es bessere Seiten, das zeigt einem ja schon der Preis. Dennoch ist dies ein auch für Profis absolut brauchbarer Satz. Preis/Leistung stimmt total.
Es gibt aber auch auf aller höchsten Niveau einen sehr guten und brauchbaren Ansatz, wo diese Seiten zum Einsatz kommen - selbst auf den teuersten Celli von Stradivari und Co. sieht man immer wieder mal eine dieser Seiten. In Kombination mit anderen Saiten wie Rondo oder Peter Infeld kann man mit Dominant pro ganz gut, das Gewicht anderer Saiten ausgleichen und tolle Klangergebnisse erzielen. So benutze auch ich eine Dominant pro G-Saite auf einem meiner Celli.
