Brilliant, but one small flaw....
Karl1971 25.01.2024
This is a great pedal for the price. Great sounds, and easy to use.

The one very small issue i have is the placement of the battery door, its underneath the pedal. If you want to stick it to a board, the cover sticks out....even after i took off the 4 rubber feet. The only solution was to take the door off totally, and then the pedal is flat and ready to stick to the board.

Great tones
Dub77 09.06.2020
I bought this distortion as an upgrade from my boss Ds1. Overall, its a great pedal. Its actually technically 2 identical pedals in one stomp box. It sounds amazing and has a wide range of tones to dial in. I use one half with higher tone and less gain and the other half with deeper tone, high gain and switched to boost. Amazing to switch between both sounds. I love the pedal. Got it at a great price of under €100 at the moment which is a bargain. Overall its a great sounding and sturdy pedal, but, bizarrely the two tone knobs which light up are noticeably cheap feeling and seem like they will break prematurely

Pros.. 2 pedals in one, wide tonal options.
Cons.. well built, but randomly the tone knobs feel really cheap and breakable.

Every home should have one

There are plenty of controls to shape sound but it does make for a very crowded display panel, with the mini-switches and tone controls fiddly to use and difficult to see the settings. It is a great sound but I only give it 4 stars at somehow it does lack the fat mellowness of my old Mudhoney I. This one is a bit brasher and less smooth. But it is versatile and well capable of going from just a hint of distortion to full-on rock of the old school type. T-Rex products never seem to go wrong either!

Great value for the money
EdVonSchleck 02.12.2020
First impression is decent: solid chassis and the pots are ok. Well, sound is always a question of personal taste. If you are looking for modern sounds the Mudhoney won't satisfy you. I get the best out of this box from a Tele or LP Junior with a classic tweed amp. The pedal turns the amp into a two channel amp plus booster. It's not as warm as a Tubescreamer, it opens up a bit more (which is perfect for Telecasters). Sustain is beautiful!
The LED could be a bit lighter, but it's ok. I would have payed double, I thin
