Die Meyer USA - Mundstücke haben nach meinem Dafürhalten einen sehr ausgewogenen Klang. Bei Ebonitmundstücken vieler anderer Hersteller kann der Sound manchmal etwas sehr knörzig oder gar kraftlos werden, aber bei Meyer bekommt das Klangbild im Direktvergleich mit Metallmundstücken eher eine Art "dritte Dimension", weniger direkt aber irgenwie raumfüllender. Diese Erfahrung habe ich bei Tenor, Alt und Sopran gleichermaßen gemacht.

Wenn man einen lockeren Ansatz hat kann man auch auf einem fünfer Meyer große Lautstärken erzielen. In Verbindung mit einem etwas stärkeren Blatt ist das auch der Intonation auf dem Sopran zuträglich.
