The rough Ghost Rim can control a very aggressive attack and, when altered, give an effect similar to a violin bow or sound like a coin being used as a pick
Special acrylic compound increases grip when heated by touch

I was excited to check out this specialty pick with a "ghost rim", curious to see how it would affect the tone.
Turns out.. not much, if at all. I can't honestly tell a difference between this and the same thickness Gravity pick. I am playing on an electric guitar, maybe the effect is very different on an acoustic guitar.
Handling-wise it feels like the same material as the Gravity pick and is the only thing providing friction is the laser engraving, otherwise it is fairly smooth plastic. And there is less engraving on this pick thus it constantly turns in my fingers.
The engraving is of fairly poor quality, can barely read the logo. It doesn't matter all that much but for such an expensive pick this is fairly disappointing. As for durability it is hard to say but there's a small notch on the top of mine so either it is poor quality or low durability.
Don't want to sound like a broken record but I much prefer the Chicken pick over this as it has much better grip. It was fun to try but ultimately a no from me.

great for acoustic too!

the ghost rim is nice, not as pronounced as on the 1980, but still very present, and this pick feels more like a normal traditional pick. I love it with my baritone acoustic guitar - it's very fast, notes have a nice attack, yet sound nice and round. I have bought these on multiple occasions.
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.
