Disappointing
Niempje 10.01.2026
I got this for on my pedalboard to simulate rarely used pedals for its IR functionality when using headphones at home and for its NAM functionality.
Sadly the overal audio quality of this product, not just NAM or IR but even the build in stuff is just so noticeably low it was even affecting the overal mix when playing with others. No amount of adjusting all my old gear could fix this as the Gp5 was affecting the overal quality. And I don't mean personal preference I'm saying measurable quality. And without a true bypass even turning it off won't save you.
Put of the box it had the latest firmware, Wich constantly made it freeze during setup over Bluetooth, a known issue Wich they recommend a factory reset or a rollback to an older version. Both not being ideal.
Wich is a shame seeing the solid build quality and options.
Maybe it should try to do a bit less but at a useful quality?
I would only recommend this to a new player to fool around with presets to get an idea of what they might like at the cost of some tuner pedals.
Or someone needing a warmup tool pre-gig.
Other than that I can't imagine a useful scenario for the Gp5 and seeing I'm not a beginner or looking for a warmup tool mine has hit the second hand market before I finished typing this review.

K
Dissapointing Amp Sounds
KresoD 03.09.2025
In theory this item looks like an ideal backup solution or quick studio toy. The form factor is really appealing - you could definitely use this in a variety of roles.
But one thing I found disappointing is the basic and the most important one: amp sounds. Most overdriven or high gain amps sound similar, and harsh. Addition of overdrive pedal in front of the amp most definitely does not behave as a real world tube screamer (for example) would behave. And the worst flaw of them all: it is not possible to use any high(er) gain sounds without the noise gate, and the noise gate creates awful digital artifacts and does not feel as an amp at all. This is a disqualifying factor for me.

DR
Interface completely freezes when connected via BT
Dmitry R 24.11.2025
Good: a super-compact multi-effects processor at the price of a tuner. Great build quality.
Bad: it can only be controlled from a phone, not from a computer. The interface completely freezes about five minutes after connecting via Bluetooth. Latest available firmware and mobile app versions used.

Cool ir loader/ fly rig option, sounds ok.
Maxibon 05.12.2025
I think YouTube had me expecting too much.

I bought this hoping it would serve as a compact multi-FX on a small pedalboard for a band I gig with, and also as an IR loader for fly gigs or acoustic sets (I’m not a fan of the piezo sound).

The amps and cabs are fine—some of them are actually pretty cool—but overall they feel a bit underwhelming for clean and edge-of-breakup tones.

The reverb, though, is the real disappointment. I just wanted a usable spring setting, but it’s honestly terrible.

There are some interesting distortion options, but overall I’m left feeling underwhelmed.

Very good value, but latency was a dealbreaker!
Urh Zupec 05.01.2026
The product is very well built and offers excellent build quality for the price. The factory presets are, of course, not that great, but if you spend some time tweaking it, you can get some good sounds—especially considering the price.
However, I am a quite fast player, so I immediately notice latency. It is supposed to have around 5 ms of latency, but that is already too much for me. Because of this, I will definitely return it and buy something else.
