Having used the Vandoren Optimum clarinet ligature for many years on my Bb clarinet, it was a natural choice for me for my new bass clarinet. The traditional 2 screw lig. supplied with the instrument was giving me some trouble with inconsistent set up when attaching a reed and insecurity of holding it. The optimum lig. answered these shortcomings and provides an assured reed attachment with the single screw. A great product.
