The Varytec LED Derby ST combines a four-colour RGBW derby effect with a dedicated white LED strobe, projecting moving multicoloured beams across a wide area while adding synchronised flashes. The best place for this combination of effects is a smaller, darkened venue, where the derby can be mounted or placed almost anywhere thanks to its integrated bracket. Also included as standard is a remote control that makes it easy to trigger light shows at the press of a button, as long as there's a clear line of sight to the fixture. Automatic programmes, sound-to-light operation, and DMX control provide further ways to exploit the wide beam spread and combine the two effects.

Complete control
With its wide 140° beam angle, the Varytec LED Derby ST can spread its effects across a dancefloor: The fixture includes auto programmes for both the four-colour LEDs and the white strobe flashes, along with a sound-to-light mode for automatic operation in time with the music. All this is the work of its four 3W RGBW LEDs and 16 white strobe LEDs at 0.5W each. Overall power consumption for the fixture, which is designed for indoor use in line with IP20, comes in at 28W. Control is available from the supplied remote, the menu buttons and display on the housing, or via DMX, using up to four channels for full control over colour, strobe, and movement. A three-pin DMX input and output allow fixtures to be daisy-chained, while IEC power input and output provide the same option for mains power.

Using the Varytec LED Derby ST with a DMX controller and four free channels opens up more detailed control over its individual effects.
