I think those sticks feel better than some others twice their price. In my hands at least. I use them on an Alesis DM10 Studio kit. For some reason I can hit more evenly with those, but I think here there is a personal preference issue.

They are budget sticks for sure. Sanding on them isn't the best but you will not get splinters. Buy if you just go through sticks very fast.
