Not so happy!
I bought this along with an ENGL Cabloader to use with my ENGL E570 preamp. E570's built-in speaker emulation is pretty outdated as you can imagine.
So Cabloader was definitely an excellent choice. However, a couple of days later, either Cabloader or this adapter stopped working. I wasn't able to troubleshoot the issue as I didn't have any spare adapters.
I had to return both items and Thomann sent me new ones immediately. (Thomann rocks!)
This time everything has worked so far, no problem. However, I noticed the adapter was generating a hissing, almost like a sine-wave sound when plugged in. This sound comes from the adapter itself, not from any sound source.
Also, there is a lot of noise generated when used within the system I mentioned.
I must say, I have fallen for the user reviews with high scores.
For this reason, I'm giving this item 3-stars. I wouldn't recommend this adapter personally.
I have already ordered a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 instead and will definitely publish an article with proof of my claims about Trutone and do a comparison.
Once again, it's been proved that you should invest some decent amount of cash for these kinds of equipment.

Robust, space-saving, high-power supply with some minor noise issues
High-power (1.7A) 9V switch-mode power-supply with a single Boss-polarity 2.1mm / 5.5mm barrel connector.
The two best feature of this product are its Europlug-style space saving design, and the robust cable (two 18AWG wires in a figure-8 cable). Those two things make it worth the price alone.
There are some minor noise issues (not hum; high-frequency) when powering pedals with inadequate power-supply filtering (soldering an extra capacitor or two might be an easy fix, but your milage may vary), and/or circuits designs prone to noise (e.g. transistor fuzz pedals).
I often use it with power-hungry devices like the FEA compressor, or certain half-rack units. Because of its high-power rating, it's surprisingly versatile, and a handy power-supply to have around in the studio; you never know when it might come in handy.
Recommended.
