The cable with the Vovox Vita concept
Vovox vita protect A is a range of high-quality instrument and patch cables designed for professional users, with a very deliberate focus on bringing together musical functionality and sustainable materials. At their core is a coaxial design with a flexible copper conductor, forming the basis for their stable, low-loss signal transmission. The polyolefin plastomer used in their construction is a forward-thinking alternative to traditional PVC materials, as it doesn't contain any plasticisers or chlorine-based compounds. This has a positive effect not only on the cables' environmental footprint, but also on their long-term stability and overall handling. An outer braid made from natural fibres further reduces mechanically induced noise, helping to minimise microphonics.
Clarity from every component
The Vovox vita protect A 9.0m ang.TS/TS is a coaxial instrument cable featuring a copper strand conductor and copper shielding to reduce external interference. Its low capacitance of 75pF/m delivers the clean signal transmission and uncoloured sound that Vovox cables are famous for. The Neutrik jack connectors – one straight, one angled – are notable for their compact design and precise machining. They are made of a fibre-reinforced composite material that ensures great stability despite a considerable reduction in the amount of metal that needs to be used, which further reduces the cable's weight and ecological impact. Hand-assembled connectors and lead-free solder joints round off the flawless set of technical components.
Cleaner sound, cleaner planet
As a hand-assembled instrument cable with extremely stable transmission characteristics, the Vovox vita protect A 9.0m ang.TS/TS is designed for professional use. The coaxial construction's copper conductor and low per-metre-capacitance ensures both a peerlessly clean sound and flexible handling for practical use. Alongside their strong functional performance, the cables stands out through the use of environmentally responsible materials: The absence of PVC, plasticisers, and chlorine compounds, combined with the use of natural fibres, forms part of the carefully considered Vovox material concept, with a focus on durability, sustainability, ease of servicing, and local production with minimal logistics footprint.
About Vovox
Since its founding in 2002, Vovox has stood for audio cables made in Switzerland to the highest standards. Company founder Jürg Vogt, a materials engineer, spent several years in close collaboration with the musician Kaspar Kramis, arriving after much intensive research at the design that still defines the brand today – one that brings together outstanding sound fidelity, straightforward handling, and an explicitly positive philosophy. Vovox audio cables are assembled by hand in Switzerland and produced in close cooperation with selected regional partners. Only the specialised copper wires are sourced from overseas, as there are no suitable suppliers for these in Europe. The company follows a clearly defined approach to quality and sustainability: materials free from plasticisers, alternative polymers instead of PVC, and the shortest possible supply chains – all part of the Vovox manufacturing process.
Silky smooth handling
One attribute that working musicians and professional sound techs in particular know to value is the fact that the Vovox vita protect A 9.0m ang.TS/TS can be handled with maximum control and flexibility. The coaxial design makes it easy to route the cable in tight spaces without increasing resistance, while the copper shielding helps to reduce electromagnetic interference. Mechanically induced noise is minimised by the integrated natural fibre braid, ensuring stable signal transmission even when the cable is moved. The result is an instrument cable that feels silky smooth and easy to handle, and which, despite its understated appearance, makes an immensely high-end first impression – while also delivering dependable performance.
