Rüdiger Baldauf sagte einmal bei einem Coaching, das bei der Wahl eines neuen Mundstückes der erste Eindruck der entscheidende ist. Das Mundstück muss auf Anhieb besser sein als das aktuelle.
Fazit: So war es bei dieser Bohrung!
Super einrasten der Töne, fetter Sound aber mit der gewünschten Schärfe und ein absolut sicheres gutes Gefühl beim Spielen. Man hat das Gefühl, dass die Töne gar nicht so hoch sind!
Aktuelle Zusammenstellung: Warburton Cup - 5S / Backbore STD KT. Zuvor hatte ich die Backbore 6* in Verbindung mit dem 5S.
Ich habe auch die Backbore KT* ausprobiert. Für mich war das Spielgefühl nicht so entspannt, die Töne rasteten nicht so gut ein und der Sound war flacher, nicht so fett wie bei der STD KT Backbore. Aber das ist ja mein Eindruck. Es natürlich vom jeweiligen Musiker selbst abhängig!
Ach ja, ich nutze dieses Mundstück für Lead in der Big Band.

Als Berufstrompeter und Warburtonbläser haben wir nahezu alle Tops zwischen der Serie 3 und 8 ausgetestet. Natürlich und je Einsatzzweck mit verschiedensten Rückbohrungen. Die KT bb ist in Verbindung mit einem kleinerem Top-teil eine richtig scharfe Waffe. Speziell im Bigbandbereich ist diese bb durch ihr focusiertes und durchdringendes Klangspektrum sehr empfehlenswert. Leicht spielbar, super Attack sehr stark im Ausdruck. Aber auch in Verbindung mit größeren Top`s hilft diese KT bb einen sehr leicht zentrierbaren Sound zu entwickeln. Auch für den kommerziellen Bereich sehr zu empfehlen!
