Yamaha Multi Clamp
Use; I use six to eight cymbals; varying between crashes, chinas, splashes, bells, stacks ? the whole lot, depending on the gig. So, using 6-8 cymbal stands on the stage takes up way too much space and time.
Current solution ? multi clamps and boom arms!
Pros;
+ I can?t image a solution more compact and mobile for touring and regular gigs.
+ very solid and reliable
+ can hold bigger diameter bars, such as high toms and floaters, thus converting a heavy duty cymbal stand into a universal!
+ high quality metal composite and locks, i?m yet to see a broken one!
Cons;
- being able to hold heavier things, it comes with a tempation to overload the host stand, so you have to be careful not to dent the host stand, making it less stable.
Summary;
To buy or not to buy? ? deffinately Yes! It?s a sure, tested thing, tried and proven to do the job.
For bigger set-ups i consider buying the Millenium Rack, but that makes setting up a bit trickier and heavier for transporting. It would save on space, but not on time. At the moment ? steady boom stands, combined with multi clamps and Millenium boom arms is the easiest solution. Set it up backstage, put the cymbals on and save time on pre-gig stage mess! :)

Steady clamp for toms!
I use it to hold rack tom on cymbal stand, works perfectly with it! Holds tom arm really good, and i can reposition it really fast and easy with it. Material is really solid, and heavy, feels indestructible.

Top
Top product! It does the job and you forget it! Very strong and not pricy at all! I use it to mount a half boom stand for my second crash to my ride cymnal stand! years and years and I really forgot that I have it! Also very handy because it can hold a really thick and really thin stand! Also very light weight! 5* Good purchase
