Yamaha DT50S Snare Trigger

Bought this mainly for quiet practice with the EAD10. For triggering a standard drum head, it works as expected. With mesh pads however, it's temperamental; specifically the rim trigger. Issues like no response or cross-talk with the main snare trigger make playing rimshots fine but cross-stick frustrating (requires you hold the stick unnaturally to play cleanly). I was willing to give 4 stars despite this because once you iron out the issues and calibrate everything, it's performs great, but less than a year after purchase, the main trigger has now failed. 3 stars at best.
