I'm not that impressed with this console.
I expected more.
The basic concept and idea are actually great — having a mixer as a stagebox right on stage. For smaller and less demanding events, it's a great solution.
However, in real-life use, it hasn’t performed as well as I hoped.
Personally, I find working through the app a bit confusing. Behringer could easily unify everything under one app or at least a consistent user interface.
The built-in access point is simply poor. As soon as there are a few phones or laptops around (on WiFi), the communication between the tablet and the mixer becomes unstable and keeps dropping out. For more reliable operation, using a better-quality external access point is a must.
What I really miss is the ability to connect the mixer to stageboxes via AES50 — unfortunately, that option just isn't there.
Other than that, it’s acceptable. I use it for smaller events and less demanding bands — mostly for highly mobile setups and small stages.

“I had an XR18 from 2020 to 2022 and was satisfied with it. That’s why I decided to buy one again now, expecting the same level of quality. However, the new unit I received is worse in build quality, has reduced functionality, is unstable over USB, and it’s impossible to install the X Air app on most devices. I do not recommend it.

Fantastic and unreliable
On my first job with this thing everything was great.
Soundcheck perfect.
So easy and well sounding.
Then it lost all contact with the world, 20 minutes before the show.
"Firmware not compatible" was all it said. Disaster!
Lost 3 times the money the X Air cost me on this job.
Will Behringer help out?? Thomann?
Do not know if I dear to use it on another job!
