Great tracking headphones!
Ricardo78, 06.01.2019
USE: I bought these for general tracking duties.

PROS: Good solid build quality, great overall sound, lightweight and comfortable, plenty of output

CONS: The sound isn't quite as flat and the mid range is slightly scooped compared to more esoteric headphones. Would have preferred a detachable cable.

OVERALL: I've been using these headphones for primarily tracking vocalists and various musicians. The DT770's are pretty lightweight and very comfortable even over long sessions and are possibly the most comfortable I've used. The sound is pretty detailed with excellent bass response and the soundstage is very good for closed back headphones! They don't sound boxy like quite a few other options I auditioned at this price point and the overall listening experience is very enjoyable. I've tried these on a number if devices from mobile phones to audio interfaces and high end headphone amps and they have plenty of output. My only criticisms would be the mids are a little scooped which can initially give a bigger more exciting listening experience which you need to take into account when using these for mixing. I would also have loved the cable to be detachable but this isn't really an issue if you use them sensibly. Overall though, I love these for tracking (and mixing once adjusted to their more scooped sound) and can highly recommend them.

Very comfortable, but...
mind if i do, 03.11.2019
As soon as I put these on, I couldn't help but remember the feeling of my girlfriend's thighs pressing down gently around my head. They were that comfortable.
However, it comes with a few drawbacks which a lot of other pair of headphones suffer from, so it is no better in those regards.

First of all, the sound that comes out of this baby is obnoxious. Yes, they may remind me of my girlfriend's thighs in terms of comfort, but they also remind me of her nagginess and the reason I left her.
They sound VERY high and treble-driven for my ears, even when listening to songs with not a lot of high-end. It just seems like this pair always finds a way to make the vocals sibilant and the hi-hats ear-piercing. Just like my girlfriend.

Another drawback is the fact that when you break this baby, it's broken for good and there's no getting over it. I'm speaking about the cable.
I'm always rough and a little aggressive when treating the stuff dear to me. It's my way of showing love, although a bit aggressive, I think it makes it a whole lot more intimate. When the cable is not detachable or replaceable it's constantly making me worried that I'd need a whole new pair of headphones just 'cause the cable started malfunctioning.

Overall, I would only recommend these headphones if you're looking for the comfort equivalent of a girl's thighs and don't care much about the nagging and the constant worry that comes with it.
