Alright pick
Old Murray 29.11.2018
I gave this pick a try, mostly due to how the grip looked.
I needed something with a bit of grip and while I don't dislike them, seems not enough. The material is great, super durable. The size is somewhere between a normal pick and a jazz pick. the sound is bright on the strings, not dull or muffled like heavier nylon picks (which I got bored of) when you're on the neck pickup. It's shape is a bit awkward at first but you get used to the balance of it. This pick lies somewhere in the middle, in my opinion. It's not exactly "blow you away" nor "totally worthless". It's got some redeeming qualities, mainly the sound. But feel-wise it's just slips the strings too fast. Can't have everything, I guess. I'm sure I'll find a good use for it, especially on my Dobro guitar, which up until now, has sounded great with it.

Love them!!!
Chris Logan 29.05.2020
Just changed to these after using the same jazz 3's for years...not even sure I really tried many alternatives in the time, I was just interested to try something different.
The grip is insane...it's like sandpaper under you fingers (in a good way). If you get sweaty hands like me, you will struggle to drop one of these!! They glide over the strings nicely, really stiff so you can put your weight into the attack....I'm sold!! My new favourite pick!

Excellent sound, speed and grip
D.T.F. 23.03.2025
I like the speed and sound of Ultex. It's slightly dark but in a good way, not much pick noise and very fast without being slippery. This thickness is an ideal compromise between the very, very dark 3.00mm and the bright and slightly hollow sounding 0.73 mm.

Not to make a negative point but they are far less colourful than the image here.
