I bought this string along with a complete set of Nanoweb Elixir Medium strings for my Fender Stratocaster. I replaced the plain G string with this wound G string. It's merely personal preference as I can see at a glance where I am - I have a tendencey to sometimes hit the B string instead as they are both (unwound) look similar. With a gold-coloured wound third, it eliminates this mistake.

There is a slight sound difference as the wound G should be used on a semi-acoustic or electro-acoustic guitar but I'm willing to accept that small limitation. The string has performed just as good as the rest of the set in over a year's use.

They still sounded good! Amazing! I finally bought a new set!
Wouldn?t use anything else on acoustics!

... haben diese Saiten auch nicht. Aber länger geht's auch nicht. Eigentlich brauche ich erstmals einzelne Ersatzsaiten, weil die Saiten so lange gut klingen, dass sie eher durch- als stumpfgespielt sind. Insgesamt eine sparsame Angelegenheit.
