Der ultimative fretless Bass

Wenn schon, denn schon... Dieser Bass ist echt der Hammer! Nicht nur für Jaco Fans, sondern für jeden, der einen super singenden fretless 4-saiter Bass spielen will. Ich hatte und habe schon etliche fretless Bässe (4/5 und 7-saiter), da ich ja eigtl. vom Kontrabass komme. Jetzt bin ich angekommen. Ich glaube nicht, dass der Jaco Pastorius Tribute Bass noch zu toppen ist. Ein Glückspilz, wer einen abbekommt, da ja jährlich nur sehr wenige die Spezial-Werkstatt von Fender velassen. Die 1. Live-CD wurde als Koproduktion mit dem BR im Januar 2010 auch schon eingespielt.

Inzwischen ist sie erschienen und jeder kann hören, was dieser Bass an Sound hat. Meine Bass-Schüler waren auch alle begeistert, einige haben schon angefangen zu sparen... Als ich 1978 Jaco live mit Weather Report in der Erlanger Stadthalle gehört und gesehen habe, ahnte ich noch nicht, dass ich diese Kopie seines Basses mal besitzen darf. Ein Dank an FENDER und an Thomann, der diesen Bass immer wieder Mal vorrätig hat.

it's a dream

sieht aus wie für 50€ auf'm Flohmarkt gefunden, liegt in der Hand wie reingeboren, bespielbar und und klanglich ausgewogen wie nichts was ich bisher in den Händen hielt...das knallt nicht ist nicht modern hightech sondern Holz, Wärme, erdiger Bassgesang in unaufdringlichster Vollendung.

Beyond the appearance

This bass sounds the way it sounds thanks to the modifications made by Jaco. There are used replicas that are not the buyer's, but that is not the reason for the value. It's probably the modifications, the wood, the nitrocellulose, the lack of it... but what matters is how it sounds. It's difficult to compare if you don't have the experience, I've read reviews about the cosmetics and everything can be commented on, except the sound and that's what is intended from an instrument.

Mehr Understandment geht nicht

Don't judge a (book) bass by his cover. Besser kann sich ein Bass nicht bespielen lassen und besser kann kein Bass klingen. Ersataunlichauch auch, dass der Fender Jaco Pastorius Tribute Bass genau so alt riecht, wie er alt aussieht.
