Very useful item to help one quickly polish guitar frets with 0000 steel wool without damaging the finish of the fretboard. Just be careful to not let the steel wool bits get on your pickup poles and inside the pickup enclosure. I understand that they can eventually damage the coil wire eventually and cause your pickup to cut out.

I recommend this little Fretboard Guard; useful and cuts down on the time necessary to spend polishing the frets.

Does its job as intended. The slot is 3.0 mm wide by my simple ruler measurement. That fits the jumbo frets on my Ibanez S electric guitar snugly and exactly, and leaves a little clearance around smaller frets.

It absolutely does what it's suppose to do, and I love it.

This tool is absolutely nice for improving your fretboard performance. Better if used with some tape for fixing it to the fretboard.

I got this guard to make it easier to polish frets on my guitars instead of using masking tape, and the process is much faster and easier now!
