More than i exprected
The sound quality is really good and it is even loud enough to play in a band! Assuming the drum machine is not that machine like ;)
The equalizer is sensitive and can be adjusted precisely. The overdrive channel ranges from crunch to distortion.
The built in reverb is also a nice feature, witch thickens the sound. Good for surf music.
This amp is also very good for playing at home. It has an extra audio jacket for headphones. You can also plug in another box, good for monitoring or whatever you want to do. All in all i would strongly recommend this one for beginners.

Cost Effective
This product is cheaper compared to any amp product. It served the purpose. Sound is nice and this product is for for smart people. This product is not only for practicing but can be used also in gigs.
If you have a nice amp and very expensive amp and you are using a sound fx, probably there is no use of your expensive amp. sound fx can make your cheap amp sounds good to, and sounds like very expensive product.
One thing that this product lack of, is there is no reverb. but I did not see also in the market or other brand that has the same as this price and has a builtin reverb feature...
Overall I'm very happy for this amp as with in the budget. I recommend this product to those having a low budget.

HB quality as usual.
This "handy" light & loud budget amp is my ideal stage partner.
Light & small to carry, a great clean sound for maybe the ever adaptable acoustic guitar, or the clean electric guitar, and really nice breath takingly clean for P'90 p'ups.
Distortion is usable, but needs careful knob adjustment to find a sweet spot (it is there though). The 'line out' to the main PA in case of need for more sound actually does its job nicely, works perfectly well with my sound system.
I have had enough with "digital disappointment" sounds, this is a true guitarists amp.
Very good eq range too.
I have used/owned some big name quality guitar amps & have been 'guitaring for 61yrs now, but this little beauty is so refreshing to use. I'm finding this price range and size of guitar amps really coming to life recently. I even got the 20w version of this amp for "that small bar in town".
The cost of fueling up "diesel" my gig van is 1-1/2 times the cost of this guitar amp. I Love them:-)

Decent amp, bargain at the price.
I'm using this as a practice amp, mostly for jazz so not so much scream and twang and although I'm not playing it out, it certainly has enough poke if I want to. This is a light, reasonably compact and sturdy amp and despite it's weight it doesn't sound thin - it gives a clear tone even at low volumes.
The reverb is clean and responsive and the overdrive channel gives a wide range. The equalisation is fine. The line out and phones socket is a 3.5mm rather than the 6.35mm (1/4") so you might need an adapter.
Playing through effects boxes comes out well too. It's not a massive speaker but there's a socket for you to plug one in if you want to. It's hard to beat it at the price. Very pleased with it.

This is one small Kick Butt Amplifier
In the USA just buy a 50W+ step down transformer. These come with the proper plug arrangements for use on standard 110V 60Hz. Power for this small attractive amplifier is great. Free of distortion and reverb feature a big plus. Perfect for the beginner or advanced player using for practice or on the go. What a great value for what you get!

Harley Benton Practise amp
This was my first little Amp and is still working great sound etc . It is a perfect start up amp . Fairly priced and has a good output about 40watt. I used it to learn and practise on at home. It is fitted with base/mid and treble controls,foot switch connection if needed. reverb...this is spring type. Line in and out. There are at least another 5 or 6 features I haven't mentioned. Is it value for money.. Well yes it is and when the time comes as it does a bigger more high tec amp can be purchased.

THIS AMP IS SUPERB
when i was looking for a combo amp i wanted a 30watt but then i came across the harley benton hb-40r and i decided to order one and im glad i did as this amp is brilliant powerfull enough for the living room and it will stand up to gigging as well and i cant beleave the quality of thismp i am going to continue to use thomann as thier dispatch times are 100% and the delivery is quick in only a few days of placing the order on thier website they keep me informed throughout the process and when i want anything else thomann i will choose thomann,well dome thomann you did it again for me

Bouught this amp as an upgrade and hands down would recomeneded it to anyone.I do indie rock and it has easy handled what i need and could do more then i'll need

Big sound
I was shocked at the max sound out of this, straight out of the box, boom, nice just rolled back a touch, nice having a reverb onboard, good solid amp for practice and small venues, love it.
