I ordered the JB-75 as I needed a quick replacement for my main bass which broke, and I wanted to try out a 5 string J style bass. I did not expect much, but now I see this JB-75 quickly becoming my go-to bass. The construction quality and overall looks are impeccable, but it's the sound and feel that brought joy to my playing that I've last felt many years ago. It's super versatile, the pickups are nice and growly when they need to be, with no hum. Since this is my first 5 string I really appreciate the narrow nut and surprisingly, the neck feels much more comfortable than the other 4 string basses in my collection (I really enjoy the tighter string spacing for more technical playing). All in all, this might be the best bass purchase I ever made. The only downside is that it's quite heavy (5.3 kg in my case), but since I play mostly sitting down, it's no issue. Also, the balance is quite good, so with a nice padded strap, it should be OK for rehearsals or gigs. Highly recommended!

Eine Schönheit an Bassgitarre, aber !

Zuerst zu meiner Person: ich beschäftige mich nun schon seit über 40 Jahre mit Gitarren. Mittlerweile habe ich schon einige Instrumente von günstig bis teuer mein Eigen nennen können. Ich wäre überglücklich gewesen wenn ich Damals eine so gute Qualität im unteren Preissegment gehabt hätte. Dennoch werde ich die Gitarre nicht mit anderen Marken vergleichen, wie es so manch Andere gerne tun, weil ich jedes Instrument für sich bewerte. Also nun zu meiner Einschätzung. Der Bass ist hervorragend verarbeitet und wunderschön. Die Mechaniken sind brauchbar. der Bass lässt sich nur schwer stimmen. (Feintuning ist schwierig) Aber jetzt kommt das größte Problem. Der Sound! Ich spiele in einer Band und habe auch einige Gigs. leider blutet mir das Herz, bei einer so schönen Gitarre einen solchen Matsch an Sound zu haben. Es war mir nicht möglich etwas vernünftiges für meine Ohren zu bekommen. Ich habe nun schon einige Gitarren der Hausmarke HB getestet. Es war nur 1 einzige Gitarre dabei, bei der ich zu 100% zufrieden war. Meine Frau lacht schon wenn wieder ein Paket kommt und sagt. Hast du wieder etwas zum zurückschicken bestellt. Sorry: Aber das ist meine Erfahrung. Dennoch kann ich die Gitarren von HB als super gute Einstiegsinstrumente empfehlen. Für meine Ansprüche muss ich leider auf teurere Instrumente der bekannten Marken sparen.
