Sorry but no
Mickhey.com 09.12.2025
I like and trust HB. Every time I dealt with HB products I was satisfied. This is the first time I was upset. Well, let's say - surprised. Ok, I don't gig so I don't know how it feels and sounds on the stage. But I couldn't manage to make them sound correct in the mix while recording. I could explain more precise but I don't think it's necessary. Shortly - too much overtones, too much, and the 6th string lives it's own life - no matter what you try to do. I'm very sorry for I have to say that. HB guys please keep the level. With all my respect.

Too much zing
jpbcosta 05.05.2025
I've bought these as affordable substitutes for the Ernie Ball Regular Slinky ones, which were out of stock. But I'll be replacing them sooner than expected, as they give off too much zing. It may not be an issue if you're into metal or slapping. But if you, like me, prefer a warmer sound, steer clear.

I haven't played long enough to know if they will hold up just fine over time. But I can say that other packs feel more gentle to your touch.

Decent for its price
SickboySimon 05.03.2020
Used them for a while an a very cheap bass. Strings sounded nice at the beginning, but the feel is off.

For a round wound string, there is too much friction when sliding with your left hand. Even more annoying, is that the friction makes plucking with the right hand somewhat unreliable at times (in terms of timing) and might ask a lot of you endurance as you need more force.

Not that great
Stajmen 10.07.2018
Using cheap strings on guitar can be passable but these are not good, the tension is lower i think as they rattle so you must change the set up of the instrument, they were quite dull right out of the package and didn't last long.

Good Backup Strings
Z.S. 08.10.2018
As with most cheap strings, they sound great for the first month or so, then quickly lose their sparkle. Good to have as a backup but I wouldn't recommend them in the long run

G string broke
Mucherso 25.11.2018
They sound fine. But the G string broke when I tried to put it on - I'm not an amateur this shouldn't have happened

Actually usable
Anonymous 27.02.2017
Got them for free because of bundle with no intension toactually use them.
bla bla bla and now I am using them for a little more than month.
At first very trebly and nice - it soon faded. Now they sound like well used rounwounds. Bottom end is a bit messy.

Not bad, usable, short life.

Not that bad for price
Arron 15.05.2013
I play D'addarios and I wanted to try these out for peace of mind that I was getting what I was paying for with other strings. These are incredibly mediocre strings that I would advise for people on an incredibly tight budget but don't expect them to sound too great.

These string are okay
EnsiGeetard 03.02.2014
They sound okay, feel okay, and are priced insanely cheap. I always make sure to grab some of these on each order. Good strings if you're just starting out, okay strings if you have played better.
