These are good strings
Anonymous 29.01.2015
Quite frankly, I believe these are very good strings. Out of the box, they might be a little less bright than their £ 25+ counterparts, but they definitely fit the bill. No difference would be heard in a live setting, mind you, and there is really no reason to get more expensive strings unless you have quite a unique feeling with them. I've had them on for about a month, so I can't really speak about how long they last. They're still quite bright, though. I might use the thomann vouchers I have to buy some extra packages, so I don't have even risk remaining without.

These strings feel very nice. In terms of tension, I would say that they are not as stiff as D'Addarios or Ernie Balls. I like that, but you might want something different if you are a heavy picker or whatever. They are not as coarse and rough as Warwick Red Label strings (thank god).

I currently have these strings on a P Bass and they sound quite right. I can see myself putting these strings on high-end instruments without hesitation.

Give them a try ? you have very little to lose, and you might like them. :)

Great strings. Almost better than higher end strings!
Lil E 15.01.2020
I bought these strings because I desperately needed strings on my Harley Benton MB-5 bass. First impressions of the pack of strings was that they were just jammed in the pack, but that’s not the case. There’s just a lot of string. I put these on my bass and then put some Fast Fret on them. Felt great and still do after a week of various things.

Now the sound: great. It’s easier to bend notes and dig into them to get that bite. I feel that the tension is lower than other strings I have used. Sound wasn’t really affected, just brighter and better than the old set.

Conclusion: Get them! You probably need them. Up there with quality of Ernie Ball!

Great value for money bass strings!
Anonymous 13.09.2015
As a non working musician that plays bass every weekend in church, I needed to find an alternative bass string brand that was easy on my wallet.
I generally change my bass strings once every 2 to 3 months and it's an expensive hobby to feed.
When I found this and saw the price, I could not believe my eyes!
I wondered how would a company be able to profit from this!
I decided to take the risk and purchased 11 sets in total. It's cheaper that way. What would I lose from buying bass strings this cheap?
I put on the bass strings, set it up and tested the acoustic sounds of the strings *not plugged in*.
It sounded not as bright as other strings I've used in the past.
Next, I plugged it in into my bass amp and played with it for a while.
To sum up, the strings sounded not bad. It wasn't great but better than I anticipated.
For the price that I paid, I had no complains whatsoever.
A very decent quality bass strings at a ridiculous price.
You have nothing to lose. Try it and see.
Thanks Thomann!

Decent Strings
TheDude94 03.01.2020
Changed my stock ESP LTD B-55 strings to these, and they clearly made a better sound, than my aging 8+ years old strings.

But with that said, the sound just made a tad too much treble to my liking, but considering the price, and overall quality, they are quite decent for a quick replacement, or, if you are just looking for funky tones out of your bass and less anything else, these will do you pretty good.

Great bang for your buck!
Anonymous 20.04.2016
These Bass Strings are a great value for the money. They sound nice and stay in tune nicely. They don't last as long as Strings that cost 5 times the amount but I think its still a bargain for the price. They feel nice and clear and sound just the same. They don't sound as bright as 30-40¤ Strings but for the average Joe that just wants a new set of strings every so often without dropping 100¤ for a few sets this Set is just for you. They probably sound better that you would image for the price. A recommendation for pretty much everyone who values quality and price over brand names.

Good Quality
Anonymous 03.06.2014
Sound and quality on these strings are up there with strings for more than double the money. Intonation and tuning is superb, sound and tone is good and they last longer than other brands I tried. Never experienced a broken string with this brand. Long enough for 35" scale. So buy more of these rather than buying fewer and more expensive ones and change more often so you can enjoy fresh strings for every gig or recording session.

Harley Benton Value Strings Bass 5-String review
SimoSacco 19.04.2019
Great cheap strings for the bass I keep in the studio to write.
Not the best quality but if you're on a budget they don't feel cheap at all.
Shorter lifespan than other brands, but for the price, can't complain at all.

Best 5 string out there for it's price!
Anonymous 14.08.2014
As with the 4 string variant these are amazingly good strings for its price.
They do not have the initial Zing! of more expensive brands, but I don't much care for that sound so these are perfect already from the beginning, and keep their sound for a long time. I haven't had a string break on these.
