Compact and light monitors that SLAP!
Ekebert 24.01.2022
If you're looking for a few extra monitors for your live gigs, but you don't have a lot of room or courage to carry big and heavy stage monitors, look no further!

In my opinion these monitors are amazing, because of their size, weight and the sound that these little monsters put out. These speakers can honestly go insanely loud, much louder than I will probably ever need.

I can practically fit one of these in my backpack and go to a gig with it.

For me the most important aspect when looking for 2 new monitors for my band and other gigs was portability and weight. These are perfect additions for my arsenal because I can take them anywhere, no problem with space. In rehearsal you can just plug a mic in it and off your singer goes. You can mount them on microphone stands or other stands with the right screw size, so you can either have stage monitors at your ear height, or better yet, use them as front fills. They work great either way.

The "Tone" knob is very useful. By turning it to the left, it makes the sound more bassy and turning it right adds more trebble and actually removes some bass. It has been very useful for quick EQ, or in rehearsal when you have a mic plugged straight into the speaker.

Now, obviously you aren't going to use them for your bass guitarist monitor. For that you need to have a much bigger monitor. But most bassists carry their own bass amp to the gig anyway. So it doesn't really matter! And the bass that these tiny speakers produce is actually for most band mates, more than enough!

You can hear the monitors still quite clearly even if you walk back from them 3 or 5 meters. However, if you move to the side, then the sound changes drastically.

Conclusion: Great little monitors! Don't be afraid that these things won't have enough volume or Bass (unless you want a monitor for a bassist). Light, small, you can buy IMG's own bags or the Thomann bags, both work great. They sound suprisingly good and again, can go incredibly loud. Overall, very nice purchase!

One of the best things I have ever bought!
theirishmusician 22.03.2022
This little speaker is great! Loud and clear but most of all super lightweight! So handy for any little acoustic gigs where you just need to be able to hear yourself! Equally loud enough to project acoustic guitar and vocals for something like a wedding ceremony.

I have marked one star off for features as I wish the input would be selectable from line level to mic level using a separate switch as sometimes it can be a bit annoying when you want to use the XLR output on your desk to plug in but you don't have an adapter cable with you. Definitely not a deal breaker...just something to be aware of.

And one mark off for sound as there isn't a lot of bass...but then I don't think anyone buying a speaker this size should be too concerned about that!

If you want a bigger bass buy a bigger speaker!

All round great investment and if it broke I would instantly go and buy another!

Perfect for singers on small stages. If line level signal, use only the jack input.
Guitar-Martin 19.09.2021
It reproduce the voice very nicely and loud. No bass sound, but thats ok if the singer is close to bass player or drum player monitors, and it is very light weight and handy.
Beware that if you feed it with line level signal, e.g. from mixer output, you have to use the jack input (a not balanced) in the monitor. The xlr input is high gain and only for direct microphone input. Therefore, only four features stars.

Great little monitor that punches above its weight
AshleyKnow 15.03.2023
This is a surprisingly powerful monitor that is quite capable of providing on-stage monitoring for a loud band. The sound may not be quite the best you've ever heard (let's be honest, you wouldn't expect much bass from such a small box) but it's more than adequate - easily good enough for instrumentalists and most vocalists, though the pickiest singer might want a bit more control than the very basic tone knob. If you don't have the luxury of a large van to transport your rig, you will love the tiny size and weight, which more than makes up for any compromise in sound.

Low impact Wedges
Nowopenyoureyes 07.07.2020
Purchased for The Guards Chapel London and used on the larger productions. These stage monitors provide a low visual impact whilst getting the job done. I would prefer that the Line Level input sensitivity were a bit lower; when driving them from the Midas line O/P I have to keep things right down. Sound Good. Well made. Just the right size. More than loud enough.
