It hold
Nola 14.01.2019
It will hold the MICs but you need some ability to align it as you want, since you have three screws to align simultaniously.

Other than that, once you set it up its OK but - do not tuch it then!

Solidly built, can be awkward to position
TARushton 11.06.2020
So far I've used this for stereo micing an acoustic and drum X/Y drum overheads.

The piece is extremely sturdy however due to this it's also difficult to position sometimes. If you're going to use this for the X/Y drum overhead position I'd recommend getting a ring/washer to increase the distance of one of the microphones from the bar as it can be awkward overlapping the mics.

For just holding up 2 mics that don't need to overlap however this is perfect

Stereo bar

OK maar komt soms wel wat los. Niet perfect voor opnames denk ik. 2 aparte stands blijft toch beter volgens mij.

Great value, but....

I bought this bar with the idea of recording stereo acoustic guitar. It holds and works well with the microphones but the only problem is when you mave th knobs for the bars it scratches the paint of the horizontal bar, they're attached to. I don't think there's any way to avoid this. I am very careful with my equipment and one day looked at the bar and realised what was happening. I imagine a lot of stereo bars with this design must do the same thing. It is dissapointing as it lets the look of your product down. If you're the type of person who doesn't care what you're equipment looks like it won't bother you, but if you're a bit anal like myself it probably will....

Good, but...

Would go for a stereo bar with the angles and the cm on it.

Otherwise, it's quite time-consuming to place the microphone with the right angle and the right distance.

But, technically, it's a well made stereo bar. I've had no problems with it so far.

B
Good budget stereo bar
Ben27 01.06.2013
Bought to go with my Oktava MK-012 pair.

The build quality seems fine - cheap and cheerful. My only criticism would be that because the mic threads are the same height, the trailing XLR leads are always in the way. Because of this it's impossible to get a good XY pair set up. ORTF is also tricky to set up because of this.

It's a good idea, but I've had more success with two mic stands now!
