Detta är den bästa fiol som jag testat i prisklassen. Den slår även dyrare fioler. Ljudkaraktären är mycket behaglig och fiolen väldigt trevlig att spela på; jämn, varmt välklingande och inga vargtoner. A-strängen var lite blurrig vid leveransen men det avhjälptes enkelt med byte till en stålsträng. Leveransen var snabb och problemfri. Hakstöd medföljde vilket inte syntes i Thomanns annons.
Efter ett halvår hade lacken försvunnit på flera områden på locket, vilket sänker mitt hantverksbetyg från tidigare fem till en stjärna. Höfner påstod att skadorna var självförvållade och därför inte täcks av garantin. Trots att fotona jag skickade visade på skador som omöjligen kan vara självförvållade accepterade Thomann Höfners bedömning.
