Koch Amps LB120-II/4
Load Box II
4 Ohm Version
Old tube amps without a master are known to be loud when cranked up to the "sweet spot", but also amps with a master volume sound their best when the power amp has been put a little bit through its paces. The result in both cases however can be a sore set of ears.
Here a power attenuator can remedy that. An attenuator overcooks just a section of the power so that the power amp still works according to the sound you're going for, but the speaker takes only some of the impact. There's no compromise to the sound, but your ears, bandmates, the audience and maybe even the guy operating the mixing desk will be thankful.
The LB120-II has 6 outputs via which you can control the volume and still achieve a hearty sound in smaller rooms without getting a headache. Adding to that, a frequency-corrected output and fan cooling aid straightforward use live and in the studio
