Yes - ultimate snare

I bought the Meinl The Ultimate Snare Stomp Box as an early Christmas pressie for a bandmate. She already has the Kick and Percussion versions of this, so I knew the quality would be up to scratch.

She's actually a cahon player so can now be "hands-free" to add additional percussive touches - though obviously there is a learning curve here! The pedal works beautifully in tandem with the Kick box - offering a mix and match selection and some unusual combination are possible.

The pedals can be daisy-chained very easily so she only needs one amplifier input for the set of 3 pedals. The recipient of my pressie should be writing this really - but I can tell you the selection of snare sounds are excellent and offer lots of variety. And I can also tell you there is a big smile on our percussionists face when using the pedals!

Remember to unplug the INPUT when not in use to avoid wasting battery life.

Tolles Gerät - kleine Abstriche

Vorweg - In Sachen Stompboxen bin ich absoluter Neuling und habe wenig Vergleichsmöglichkeiten.
Ich bin Bassist und habe mir das Teil "just for fun" zum Üben gekauft.
Die Ansprache/Anschlagsdynamik ist super, das hätte ich so nicht erwartet. Es macht echt Spaß und die Sounds sind toll! Ich habe auch mal versucht, mit einem Stick (mit Gummikappe) zu spielen. Das geht, Prellschläge werden absolut sauber verarbeitet!
Nun zu den Abstrichen. Zwei Sachen nerven etwas.
1: Der eingestellte Sound wird beim Ausschalten "vergessen", man muss wenn man z.B. gerne Sidestick spielt, nach dem Einschalten immer 13 mal den Taster drücken.
Ein Punkt Abzug bei Bedienung.
2: Ein kleiner Ein/Aus Schiebeschalter wäre sicher noch möglich gewesen. So muss man immer dran denken, die Kabel abzuziehen, damit die Batterien nicht entleert werden.

Achtung: Mit Akkus scheint das Teil nicht zu funktionieren!

Lange gesucht

Da ich live normalerweise als Singer/Songwriter mit einer echten Bassdrum und einer echten Snare über Fusspedale Spiele, die aber aus Platzgründen nicht immer unter bekomme, suchte ich schon lange nach einem Snare Pedal. Ich habe dafür bisher als Alternative das Hihat Push Pedal von Meinl benutz. Mit dem neuen Snare Stomp habe ich nun aber mehrere Optionen und einen noch besseren Sound.
