cheap but good
The millenium DSS-818F Stage Snare stand is a great and cheap option for little sidesnares or low weight main snares.
With the arm, wich is 12,5 inches ( 31,7 Cm) long, is the positioning between all the other tripod stands very easy.
The basket is conceived to hold 10" -14" .
I haven't got a 10" snare yet but my 10" Tom Tom fits onto the stand.
My 14" inch main would fit in size, too but not in weight. It's way too heavy (ok, it's a 14" by 7", thick wood snare).
The srews and the chromium plating could be done better but you can not expect the same workmanship at this 30? stand as at the expensive ones.

Engineers I believe in you, you can really do better....
Don't expect miracles from this. It is ok, but no better. could need some more height, some more length in the arm, some better angles.. I fixed it. But it tired me.

Not for toms!
I know it's a SNARE stand, but I bought this for my tom as the holding bracket was bad. For a tom, I wouldn't recommend it as it kept falling over. I just taped it down and it worked.
For a snare, it's a lot better: more sturdy and stable.
Lastly, it can be positioned in any way yoy like, making it easier to use.
Overall, I would recommend this, but for a snare and not a tom!

Millenium DSS-818F Stage Snare
Sturdy stand a little heavy but very adaptable and folds down nicely and has plenty of position locks. I use it sat down and standing so very adaptable. Great stand for the price.
