Cool features, poor quality

I've tried a number of Millenium products and while it's obvious that at such super affordable prices there will inevitably be some cut corners, The Strike is by far the worst in that regard.

Let me start by saying that the pedal is extremely customizable - you can adjust the angle of the footboard and the beater, and you can switch between the direct drive and chain system.

And that's about it for the positives. Replacing the springs is a serious hassle (I gave up), one of the beaters got curved even though its made of metal, and a two tiny screws that connect the direct drive system quickly got worn out to the point of not being able to screw them on or off anymore - just some of the things that just go to show what kind of low-quality materials were used.

The entire thing seems to be built on a tight schedule as the pedal never fully felt tight and smooth. I guess for someone looking to try a double pedal or a direct drive without real commitment, it might serve a purpose but any sort of serious playing, I recommend looking elsewhere.

At least it's customizable

I'm not going to give a full break down of " I've played drums for X amount of years " or anything like that. I would just like to let others know that this pedal is hot garbage. No other way of saying it. I've tried using all the settings, which is the best part of the pedal, but nothing that I did helped. I've changed the beaters, I've changed the springs, I've messed with the angle of the beaters, the amount of slack for the pedals. What broke me was when I went to change the direct drive to the chain drive that comes with the pedal and I simply could not take it apart because the hole was not drilled correctly at the factory and the bolt would not come out. Besides that the pedal is hard to control at higher speeds and for me, with an average sized foot, it's not possible to do the heel toe technique. The pedal is just sloppy to play no matter the settings and maybe I just got a bad one who knows. If it was me and I could do this over again I'd just invest in a more expensive pedal from literally any other brand which is what I'm going to do right now.
