The portable all-in-one amp

Anyone who plays electric guitar or bass needs a compact amp at home, and the Mooer F15i Li Intelligent Amp is an affordable device with a whole host of features that makes it ideal both for seasoned players and absolute beginners. This compact 15W amp comes with 55 different digital amp simulations and 69 freely selectable effects. To make practising more fun and more effective, the F15i also comes with a looper, dozens of drum machines, a tuner, and a number of metronomes. Of course, with a feature set like this, Bluetooth is a must – so it's easy for anyone to jam along to their favourite tracks, too. To make sure musicians don't get lost in this jungle of functions, the amp can be controlled via touchscreen, using the on-board buttons, or with Mooer's iAMP app. Anyone after a portable amp with solid battery life would do well to take a closer look at Mooer's little sonic wonder.

They thought of everything!

With all the different amp models and effects available on the Mooer F15i, it's easy to dial in (and save) that perfect, personalised tone – or the exact sound of one of the guitar greats. Happily, the iAmp app also offers a wide range of presets that means users will quickly and reliably land on a serviceable setting. This powerful little modeller can also be used as a guitar audio interface, connected to a computer using the built‑in USB‑C port (the same one used for charging). For anyone wanting to run it into an existing audio interface or a PA, the two line outs mean that's no trouble at all – even stereo setups are possible. And to keep practice sessions quiet and private, there's a 3.5mm stereo headphone output. All in all, this compact amp has more to offer than might seem at first glance; behinds its simple layout lies an incredible array of practical features.

Just the right size

When a guitarist playing at home cranks their favourite amp right up, it can quickly lead to trouble with the neighbours – and that's exactly what miniature modelling amps like the Mooer F15i Li were designed to avoid. With its 15W output, it obviously can't compete with the volume of an acoustic drum kit – but it doesn't need to. For practice it's spot on, and if musicians do ever need to use their F15i live on stage, it can be run into the PA using a DI box, making it even more flexible. Rare indeed are the guitarists who won't at least occasionally need a compact all‑in‑one solution for practising or travelling: This cost‑effective modelling amp from Mooer is sure to fit the bill, with loads of sounds, and yet very straightforward operation.

About Mooer

Mooer is based in the Chinese city of Shenzhen and has been making products for guitarists since 2010, which include compact single pedals through to multi-effects units and compact amplifiers. The company initially produced a range of mini pedals before making perhaps its most significant breakthrough in 2016 with the sophisticated Ocean Machine delay pedal, which was designed in collaboration with Devin Townsend. Mooer's product range now also includes solutions that feature amp modelling, IR-based speaker simulation, and matching equalisers, and the company's focus remains firmly on the use of digital technology.

Guitar on the go!

The Mooer F15i Li Intelligent Amp – seen here in the very stylish Imperial Gold version – isn't just the ideal bedroom amp, but also a smart solution for guitarists on the go; it can be carried by hand with the short strap included or clipped onto a full-length guitar strap and slung over a shoulder for complete mobility. Especially during an outdoor session, the amp's five hours of battery life make it not only practical but also a lot of fun: It's easily got enough volume to keep up with any vocalist or acoustic guitarist, even without pushing it to its limits. This compact amp from Mooer is the perfect companion for solo songwriting, late‑night jams, or practice sessions, combining flexibility, functionality, and fantastic sound.

Wow what an amp!

Small but loud, has everything you need, looper, drums, many different amp sounds and you can connect it to an app to create even more than the 50 or so presets, great for home (maybe even stage if you use it as a head 2 outputs)
