Morley 20/20 Bad Horsie Wah

I wanted this to be my dream Wah. The construction is top-notch, the look is great, and I love the features. In the end though, it just doesn’t sound and feel like I want a Wah to sound and feel.

It’s hard to describe, but the way the effect tracks along the path of the pedal as you press on it just seems off. My impression is it’s really only at the very end of the pedal’s path that the effect is doing its thing. I want the whole path of the pedal to be musical, not just the last tiny bit.

In the end I went with a more “classic” Wah. I hear the Bad Horsie is designed with input from Steve Vai, so maybe if that’s the kind of stuff you play this pedal will be your jam.

Switchless Wah is a genius idea in theory, but I found the automatic switching off- was audible and I didn’t care for it. I prefer the nuisance of manually switching than the sound of the automatic switching.

Fabrication robuste.
le fait qu'il y ait deux modes est vraiment cool.
pédale à retour auto c'est TOP.
et l'auto OFF est vraiment cool aussi.

sur le papier.... c'est la pédale de rêve, mais....
l'utilisation est vraiment bizarre.... et la modulation quasi inexistante.
sur toute la course de la pédale, pendant 85% de la course... il ne se passe, mais.... absolument rien.
et sur le tout dernier centimètre, ça fait le wouah, mais du coup, on est plutôt sur quelque chose de pas évolutif, on a le son "Ou", et le son "Ah", mais c'est plus un interrupteur qu'un potar, pour réussir à chopper de la nuance entre les deux, tout se joue sur 1 cm.

malgré les caractéristiques de rêve, cette pédale va malheuresement trouver une autre maison.

J'ai trouvé mon compte sur la Dunlop JP95 signature Petrucci, là pour le coup, c'est à l'ancienne niveau fonctions, mais la progressivité est de loin, de très loin la plus étendue, surtoute la course de la pédale on peut aller chercher des harmoniques , et l'effet va de loin à loin, pas juste une petite fréquence.

Donc très certainement une excellente pédale mais, pas pour moi :)
