Mic lead identification
I probably have over 200 microphone leads, a lot of these are 5 and 10 metres long. I was tired of always pulling out the wrong length lead I wanted from the cable trunk so I fit these identification rings to the XLRs. Blue for 10M and green for 5M. Simple to fit as you don’t have to unsolder the lead to fit these rings onto the XLR. Perfect 👍

Very good but wont fit all types of XLR plug
You will have a problem using these with certain types of XLR plugs. On some plugs the inner part of the plug needs the cable clamp to push it into its home position. When you fit oneof these on some plugs it will cause the cable not to be able to tighten to its fully home position, this in turn makes the inner plug not get fully home and it will be slightly loose in the housing.

xcr ring
this xcr ring by neutrik is a very handy piece of equipment to own. the green colour means it is much easier to identify the cable when in a box of cables. being neutrik also means good quality and these also seem to fit the newer xlr plugs.

Colour Ring
As it is Neutrik, it also means good quality. This is an XCR ring by Neutrik and it is a very handy piece of equipment to own. The colour coding system means it is much easier to identify the cable when in a bag of cables.

Most elegant coding method
We use a lot of multicores and I'm sick of taping the connectors and writing with a marker the number of the cable, thus leaving the connector all glued up because the paper glued tape does not hold forever.
They could make this product better if Neutrik would write numbers on them.
