As it is Neutrik, it also means good quality. This is an XCR ring by Neutrik and it is a very handy piece of equipment to own. The colour coding system means it is much easier to identify the cable when in a bag of cables.

Neutrik XCR Codierringe - der schnellste Weg, um XLR-Kabeln zu beschriften

Diese Codier-Ringe braucht man nur einfach (nach dem Aufschrauben des XLR-Steckers) anstecken - wieder anschrauben - fertig. Der Vorteil gegenüber den farblichen Tüllen ist, dass sie auch bei einem fertig gelöteten Kabel ganz leicht anzubringen sind. Außerdem sind sie billiger als die farblichen Tüllen.

Sehr gut finde ich auch die Idee einer geraden Einbuchtung (ich nenne es halt so ...), wo man die Kalbellänge in Meter oder eine Nummer für das Kabel draufschreiben kann (z. B. mit einem Permaent-Overhead-Stift).

Bei der Farbe schwarz sollte man berücksichtigen, dass der Codierring auf einem schwarzen Stecker nicht sichtbar ist. (Es sei denn, man nimmt das Kabel in die Hand ...) Ich empfehle schwarz nur als 10. Farbe, wenn man alle anderen 9 schon hat und eine weitere Unterscheidung braucht.
