It broke after a year

I bought this woodblock just over a year ago. I don't use it much when i'm playing and only use it for 1 or 2 songs. It then started to sound funny and the wood split across the middle on the side and the bottom half hung of only holding on by a dot of glue
I would advise buying a different woodblock

Used this woodblock as part of a full kit, during recording, and as part of a live percussionist kit. In each environment and situation it has cut through and sat perfectly in the mix. Very loud, good tonal qualities, solid woodblock.

Great price for such a robust, quality woodblock. Recommend as an addition to any drum kit.

I strongly advise you that if you going to be hitting this wood block hard it will crack from side middle half. This wood block is intended for mild to soft hitting anything more it will crack.

Prima, hatte früher immer einen kleinen Schüler-Woodblock an die Trommel geschraubt und war lange auf der Suche nach einem gleichwertigen Ersatz und habe nun endlich einen vernünftigen Woodblock gefunden. Dieser Pearl Ash-Woodblock "high pitch" klingt schön laut, nicht ZU laut und setzt sich durch den höheren Ton sehr gut durch. Hatte zum Testen einen Sonor Woodblock mit mittlerem Klang dazu bestellt, der mir persönlich aber schon zu "dark" war. Beide Woodblocks sind sauber verarbeitet, kommen aus Taiwan und die Verarbeitung ähnelt sich stark. Sonor hat eine etwas "edler" verarbeitete Halterung und Verpackung.
