Not bad, but not for me
Marcus-J 27.02.2024
I really wanted to love these bowls, but I didn't love the sound. I got 3, so it wasn't as if I got a bad one.

They are beautifully finished, but they have a resonance that I couldn't get on with, and are not very loud.

I have a few Acama Zen bowls, which produce (exactly) the sound I expect from a premium offering. I also have a Thomann 2Kg bowl which was similar in pitch, but sounds much fuller with no 'distortion'. Finish nowhere near as good as the PH, but sound first - looks later for me.

High quality but quiet

this bowl has an amazing sound and vibrations. The only problem is it’s extremely quiet even if I strike it with hard mallet. I don’t know how people use these bowls for group sound baths, unless you have microphone there is no way to do it

he resonance after striking is very long. After comparing several of my own mallets, I found that using the matching HkFS-2w that comes with it produces a much better effect.
